Are you interested in exploring a life theme this year? Are you looking for strength and renewal? Our horses are wonderful at teaching us how to relax and be fully present in the moment. Interacting with our horses in a guided workshop can help you rediscover appreciation for life, trust, and self-confidence. Let our horses help you see yourself in a whole new way. The EAGALA Model

Jake's Flat Farm offers Equine Assisted Psychotherapy  (EAP)for Groups based on the EAGALA model.  This modality utilizes a three part treatment team consisting of the horses, a horse specialist, and licensed therapist. The activities used are specifically developed using the EAGALA model.  EAP is conducted completely on the ground. 

 EAP is best used as a part of an overall treatment plan.  EAP is not designed or recommended for people in crisis or who may be a danger to themselves or the horses.

 

If you feel that Equine Assisted Psychotherapy or Equine Experiential Learning could be of help to your group or you would like to participate in a group please contact us to arrange a demonstration.  No prior horse related skills or riding experience is necessary for these activities.
