Exceptional Equestrians
Jake’s Flat Farm, LLC is proud to partner with Exceptional Equestrians, a very special program located at Iverson Riddle Developmental Center in Morganton, NC. This state run facility is home to a number of donated and rescue horses who serve the residents of the Riddle Center as well as the surrounding community. The Exceptional Equestrian barn is a large new facility which offers a large indoor arena, and spacious grooming area with rolling pastures.

Jake’s Flat will be working with this facility to serve local schools, groups and organizations for retreats and workshops. Exceptional Equestrians provides an excellent opportunity to interact with a wider variety of horses in a larger setting.

This summer Carolina Hoofprints recieved a grant from the North Carolina Horse Council to fund the development of a therapeutic trail and mounting ramp for therapeutic riders at Jake's Flat Farm. Although we had hoped to have this project completely finished in October, we encountered several unexpected obstacles which delayed our progress. We are currently in the final stages of completion and expect to be completely finished in early spring barring more bad weather and unexpected mishaps.
